Managing cultural diversity - building Trust

This seminar is aimed at assisting and preparing teachers engage with culturally diverse learners by providing thorough understanding of the concept of culture and cultural diversity. Furthermore, the seminar aims at exploring how culture influences the educational setting and how to develop an educational environment that supports and acknowledges a multitude of cultures.

At the end of this seminar, teachers will be equipped to meet the needs of learners from diverse cultural backgrounds in the way they instruct, assess and manage the classroom. This will be done by looking at how attitudes are formed and maintained. The seminar will be set up in such a way that a framework for teachers will be created to get acquainted with each other’s cultures in increasing awareness of the necessary knowledge, attitudes, skills for managing cultural diversity to further develop intercultural empathy.
